HSBC Secures Office in IFSD Global banking giant HSBC is moving in to the IFSD, having agreed a pre-let at 141 Bothwell Street , at a new record rental level for Glasgow. The company is taking a 15 year lease of the first floor at a rent of £28.50 per sq ft, which is £1 per sq ft more than the previous highest rent.

Jumeirah Checks in to Glasgow Jumeirah, the Dubai-based luxury hotel group has unveiled plans to operate a new five-star super deluxe hotel in Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow – A Great Place To Do Business Glasgow is the sixth best city in the UK in which to locate a business, according to a new report from real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield. The company’s UK Cities Monitor surveys senior company executives on their perceptions of doing business in the country’s largest cities.

Glasgow’s Future Scientists Turn Out for Fun Day Hundreds of Glasgow’s budding young scientists gathered recently at a special Family Science Day, supported by staff from Shell’s Shared Services Centre in the IFSD. The event saw families taking part in practical science investigations that featured electricity, energy transfer, forces and motion and materials.
