Glasgow is one of the UK’s few, truly metropolitan cities, lying at the heart of a wider metropolitan area that contains over two-fifths of Scotland’s population, around 2.1 million people.

Not only is Glasgow Scotland’s largest city, its population is twice that of Edinburgh, and its job density is such that Glasgow is the only net importer of labour in the Clyde Valley.

With a pool of over 1.5 million people in the city’s travel to work area, Glasgow can adequately provide the staff and skills necessary to help your business succeed and grow.

The public sector, led by the Scottish Government, are working with financial service companies to develop a strategy for the future, including further skills development.
