Planning permission has been granted by Glasgow City Council for Marlebone's 295,000 sq ft mixed use development located in the heart of Glasgow's IFSD.

On completion, the £100 million development will comprise 250,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, 20,000 sq ft of retail space and 25 residential apartments.

Designed by Thomson Architects, the development will be situated with Washington Street to the west and McAlpine Street to the east, extending to 17 storeys (66m) in height.  The development will incorporate basement car parking and landscaping.

Patsy Hyslop, marketing director of property investment group Marlebone, said: "This project represents a major addition to the IFSD. We are already in negotiations with some major employers who are very interested in this site and we look forward to starting work to deliver this fantastic project for Glasgow."

Savills was the agent acting on behalf of Marlebone and Alastair Wood, Director of Planning commented: "This development is highly accessible in terms of public transport and its proximity to motorway connections.  Along with other planned developments in the vicinity, it will provide much needed high quality office accommodation for companies looking to locate or expand in Glasgow."
