Atlantic Quay's
cycling enthusiast Niall Southwell, has raised over £1000 for the
charity Finding Your Feet after a gruelling 541 km,
3-day uphill cycle from Airdrie to John O' Groats.
The charity was founded by quadruple amputee, Corinne Hutton,
who survived sepsis, but lost her hands and her legs below the
knee. She said: "We're so delighted with Niall raising over £1000
for the charity, smashing his target! We were there to wave him off
and it was great to keep up with his progress on Twitter. We hope
he enjoyed a well-deserved drink after completing the 541kms! The
money raised will go towards the activities we arrange for
amputees, including cycling."
Angela Higgins, Atlantic Quay's asset manager comments:
"Our community at Atlantic Quay is proud to support Finding Your
Feet and we're delighted to have raised over £1000 and smashing our
target. Thanks to everyone that supported Niall, every penny
will go towards turning around the lives of children and
adults, so as they can find their feet in life
again."
