Insurance firm
AXA is consolidating its Glasgow operations with a move to a
new 49,500 sq ft office at the Cuprum
development on Argyle Street in the IFSD.
AXA has agreed a 15 year lease, taking the second, third and
fourth floors of the development.
The group currently operates from two Glasgow offices at
Atlantic Quay and Hutcheson Street.
AXA will begin moving its collective 440 staff at AXA PPP
healthcare and AXA ICAS under one roof in a phased move-in
commencing December 2016.
Deborah Parker, group property director with AXA UK, said:
"We are really excited to be making this move to Cuprum. It forms
part of AXA's strategy, where it's possible, to bring employees
working in one city together which helps the business to work
smarter and more effectively together."
Chris Webb of Tristan Capital Partners, which owns the Cuprum
building, added: "We are delighted to have secured AXA as the major
tenant at the Cuprum building and have been working closely with
them to ensure that the Grade 'A' office space at this top quality
development, delivers the experience and specifications they
require."
