Glasgow is the best city in the UK for work-life balance,
according to latest data from CV-Library.
The data explored how 1,200 workers in various cities across the
UK felt about their work-life balance and how it was affecting
their career decisions.
Glasgow emerged as the best UK city for work-life balance,
followed (In order) by Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Bristol,
Southampton, London, Leeds, Cardiff and Manchester.
CV-Library noted that 'smaller firms in Glasgow are adopting a
progressive approach to work-life balance', with specific reference
to the introduction by some employers of a four day week.
Overall, the data demonstrated that, despite 97.9% of Brits
believing that work-life balance is important, over a third (37.3%)
of the nation's professionals admitted to not having a good
work-life balance themselves.
The results also reveal the dramatic effect work-life balance
has on business' ability to retain employees and that a sensible
balance can be achieved, without compromising business
productivity.
