The list of winners in the recent Tenth Scottish Hotel
Awards 2013 underlines the quality of Glasgow's hotels.
Leading the illustrious pack of Glasgow winners was the Grand
Central Hotel which scooped the overall title 'Scottish Hotel of
the Year 2013' and also won 'Events Hotel of the Year'.
Jurys Inn Glasgow won 'Business Hotel of the Year' and Citizen M
was voted 'Budget Hotel of the Year' while the Park Inn Glasgow won
'Rising Star Hotel of the Year'.
Jamie Stevens, General Manager, Hilton Garden Inn won an award
for people management and motivation and his hotel also scooped a
Green Laurel Eco Award.
Dominic McVey, GM at the Crowne Plaza was awarded a Senior
Manager Fellowship while Frances Hope from the Radisson Blue became
a Dame of Hospitality.
At the Glasgow and Clyde region level, the Spa at Blythswood
Square was voted Spa of the Year and the Hotel Indigo won 'Boutique
Hotel of the Year', while Hotel Du Vin won both Luxury and
Romantic Hotel of the Year awards.
Menzies Hotel won the award for 'Informal Dining Restaurant
of the Year' while Darin Campbell from Hotel du Vin won Glasgow
Chef of the Year.
