Glasgow to host UK Fintech event

23 Sep 2019

Fintech leaders and enthusiasts from across the UK will attend the first ever FinTech National Network seminar in Glasgow on the 10th October 2019.

Hosted by Fintech Scotland, the half-day seminar will, through panel discussions and engaging presentations, share insights on financial innovation from leading figures and the major fintech leadership bodies including Innovate Finance, FinTech North, FinTech Wales, FinTech Northern Ireland and FinTech Scotland, as well as key stakeholders from Financial Conduct Authority, Department of International Trade and Scottish Development International.

Delegates will also hear how the fintech cluster in Glasgow and Scotland is being developed by entrepreneurs and leading financial firms, with the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow City Council to open up collaboration opportunities nationally and globally.

A spokesperson for the event organisers said, "This is a significant milestone event bringing together leading participants in the fintech innovation movement, focusing collaboration opportunities across the range of clusters. It will also provide valuable networking opportunities for those wanting to play an active role in the development of fintech hubs on the global stage".

The free to attend event takes place at The Technology and Innovation Centre on George Street on October 10th from 0800 - 1400.
