Two Glasgow universities feature in the top three in the UK for
Accounting and Finance courses, according to the
Complete University Guide 2016.
The University of
Strathclyde achieved the overall top ranking for its
Accounting and Finance courses, with The University of Glasgow at
number three, only 0.2% behind the second placed Bath
University.
The Complete University Guide ranks UK universities in 10
quality factors important to students - by university and by
subject. These include a measure of the completion rate of
students, entry standards, the proportion of first and upper second
class honours degrees, expenditure per student on all academic
services, the employability of graduates, the average quality of
research, student satisfaction and student:staff ratio.
This great news coincided with further good news that the
University of Strathclyde's full time MBA programme has risen 17
places in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2016.
The programme, run by the Strathclyde Business School, has moved
up the top 100 global programmes to 63.
Despite ever increasing competition from schools in the US,
Asia, Australia, Canada and across Europe, Strathclyde's MBA was
ranked 7th in the world for best value for money.
