FDM Group, the global
professional services provider with a focus on IT, has opened a new
Training Academy in Glasgow.
The company's innovative approach trains graduate and ex-Forces
Consultants in dedicated Academies across Europe and North
America, with bespoke courses covering the full software
development lifecycle.
FDM Consultants receive up to 4 months full time training across
Software Development (Java and .Net) Project Support, Software
Testing, Business Analysis, Data and Operational Analysis, whilst
its senior ex-Forces Consultants work in Project, Programme and
Delivery Management, utilising leadership skills learned in the
Services, to provide gravitas and experience beyond graduate-level,
with the added benefit of security clearance.
FDM currently works with over 130 clients in industries
including finance, media, insurance, energy, and government.
Due to growing client demand within Scotland, FDM has opened the
Training Academy at Sutherland House in St Vincent Street and
already has over 45 Consultants working on site across its regional
client base, which includes Morgan Stanley, RBS, Lloyds, Barclays
and MasterCard.
In 2015, FDM aims to recruit 150 local graduate and ex-Forces
personnel to address the increasing need for IT talent in Glasgow
and across Scotland.
