Can fintech be a positive agent for social change? That's the
topic examined by an expert panel on June 7th at
Strathclyde Business School.
This free to attend event is part of The Scotsman's series
looking at the rapidly growing fintech sector in Scotland and the
opportunities and challenges it presents.
The debate aims to place fintech in a wider context, asking how
it can deliver positive benefits to society and overcome some of
the trust and confidence issues currently surrounding technology
and big data generally.
The panel includes leading industry experts Stephen Ingledew,
CEO of Fintech Scotland, Daniel Broby SBS Director of Centre of
Financial Innovation and Regulation, David Goodbrand from Burness
Paull and Kent Mackenzie from Deloitte.
The discussion will be chaired by David Lee of Scotsman
Conferences and among the topics discussed will be whether fintech
can be a force for financial inclusion and better mental health, is
it rising to the challenges of fragile consumer trust and
confidence issues in technology and data and the darker side of
fintech. To find out more and book your place at this event please
