Many congratulations to software developer Jack Moran, named
Level 3 Apprentice of the Year at the recent Scottish
Apprenticeship Awards, organised by Skills Development
Scotland in partnership with Arnold Clark.
Jack was one of a number of apprentices recognised for their
achievements at a glittering awards ceremony at Glasgow's
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
The 25-year-old, who works for multi-national banking and
financial services company J.P. Morgan, is part of the company's
global technology division in Glasgow's IFSD. He completed his
Modern Apprenticeship in IT and Telecommunications at New College
Lanarkshire earlier this year and has now started a Graduate Level
apprenticeship at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Describing the amount he has learned over two years of his
Modern Apprenticeship as 'phenomenal', Jack said, 'I've always had
a strong interest in technology and through the apprenticeship
programme I was exposed to lots of different areas, learning all
the time.'
He added: 'In two years time, I will have an honours degree
combined with four years work experience. I've learned so
much.'
