Collaboration, knowledge transfer, idea generation and
networking are the ambitions of a growing internal communications
group which catches up over coffee once a month in Glasgow and also
stages quarterly 'hot topics' sessions.
The concept is the brainchild of members of the communications
team at NFU Mutual who host the informal meet ups at their offices
at 69 Wellington Street.
Anne Marie Croal, communications advisor at NFU Mutual
(pictured), says 'It's always beneficial to share ideas and
perspectives and learn from others working in similar roles. Our
meet-ups are a great opportunity for those aiming to develop their
knowledge and expand their professional network. We're
delighted that the attendees to date represent a broad selection of
internal communicators in regards to the companies and
organisations they represent. All of the ideas and experiences
shared add value and help develop a wider understanding of the
challenges facing organisations in reaching and engaging staff both
on and offline.'
The group welcomes professionals working in Glasgow whose remit
includes internal communications be that for a large multi-national
company, a further education provider, a charity or an SME.
