26 Aug 2015

In more good news for Glasgow on the jobs front, Webhelp UK, one of the country's leading BPO providers, has taken on 100 new team members at its new customer experience centre in Glasgow over the last three months, with an additional 50 new hires in the pipeline.

The announcement comes after the business invested in a state-of-the-art facility at CityPark on Alexandra Parade.

The newly converted 40,000 sq. ft. space features almost 700 workspaces with an impressive range of on-site facilities.

Earlier this month, Glasgow headquartered IT consultancy ECS confirmed its expansion plans involved recruiting an additional 200 IT professionals and graduates by the end of 2015, bringing total headcount to over 850.

The expansion follows ECS's success in managing IT Security, Windows XP/Windows Server migration and other IT transformation projects for more than 30 blue-chip customers in the UK and South Africa.

It is understood the new jobs will be created across the firm's 5 UK offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Leeds and Manchester. The new hires include programme and project managers, IT infrastructure technical consultants and IT security specialists.

ECS's strong client base includes three of the four largest UK retail banks.
