Three more national firms have confirmed plans to open new
offices in Glasgow. Chase
de Vere, the financial adviser, has opened a new Glasgow office
as part of planned expansion in Scotland. Jason Speed, the firm's
senior manager for Scotland, said: "Our new Glasgow office is twice
the size of the previous one, and we plan to use it as a
springboard for our expansion plans in Scotland. Initially, the
office will have 17 advisers targeting private and corporate
clients.
Wealth management firm Bellpenny is also expanding in
Glasgow, having agreed a five-year lease for a new office at 180
West George Street, the firm's base in Scotland.
With £2.5 billion of funds under management, Bellpenny has
recently acquired a number of businesses in the financial services
sector in Glasgow and is expected initially to move more than 20
staff into the new office space and expand significantly
thereafter.
And, Aberdein Considine,
the Top Ten Scottish law firm, is opening new legal headquarters in
Glasgow. It's the latest chapter in the growth story of Aberdein
Considine, which launched in 1981. The new Glasgow office will be
its 19th in Scotland and adds to its property branch
already in the city.
