In more good news on the property front, a striking new 15
storey office development in the heart of the IFSD is being
proposed.
Developers behind the 8,000m² project are PATRIZIA UK and the
architects are Keppie Design. Subject to approval, the new scheme
will replace the vacant
Douglas House, in a prominent position between Waterloo and
Douglas Streets.
Complementing proposed plans for the adjacent Bothwell Plaza,
Keppie's design features flexible column-free floor plates ranging
from 460-615 m2, together with a penthouse office of 285 m2.
A few hundred metres away, global law firm CMS has become
the latest occupier at 1 West Regent Street,
taking the entire fifth floor and part of the fourth floor,
comprising 22,000 sq ft of high quality office space, on a ten year
FRI lease.
In May 2016, CMS will join Weir Group, Global Radio, Arup and
FDM Group, with restaurant chain Giraffe on the ground level. Only
three and a half floors remain available at 1 West regent
Street..
And, global IT firm Syntel has taken up a ten year lease on
4,239 sq ft at
145 St Vincent Street after tying up a major deal with
Clydesdale Bank.
