The Buchanan Wharf
development, which will become home to Barclays' state of the art
campus HQ, is featured in the new Glasgow Investment Guide 2019,
published by Invest Glasgow.
Launched earlier this
month at the international property conference MIPIM, the Guide
profiles a further five landmark projects progressing renewal in
the city and wider region. Each offers a unique opportunity for
investment, innovation and collaboration.
As well as Buchanan
Wharf, the projects are the Advanced Manufacturing
Innovation District Scotland, the University of Glasgow's major
mixed use development, Custom House Quay, Glasgow City Innovation
District and Clyde Gateway's Dalmarnock and Magenta
projects.
Described by the new
Investment Guide as 'a benchmark development in Scotland and a new,
distinctive quarter for the city', Buchanan Wharf is being
progressed by Drum Property Group on the southern bank of the
Clyde, directly across from the IFSD.
Barclays' new campus will
create space for around 2,500 additional jobs making the bank one
of Glasgow's biggest commercial employers.
When complete, Buchanan
Wharf will provide one million square feet of prime Grade A office
space, residential accommodation and a mix of local amenities and
landscaped public spaces.
