Among the companies making news in the IFSD this month are Lockheed Martin and Parseq.
Lockheed Martin has announced plans to create up to 327 new jobs
at its new flagship Glasgow office at Skypark, having moved from
Inchinnan.
The company said it has already added 50 new jobs this year
across its Glasgow-based information systems business, taking total
headcount to around 300, having received "significant support" from
Scottish Enterprise who have provided £2.5 million in Regional
Selective Assistance (RSA) grant funding.
A further 277 new roles will be created spanning software
development, application management, programme and project
management and administrative "as required" over the next 18 to
24-months.
Earlier this month, Parseq's new Glasgow office, which employs
350, was officially opened by Graham Stein, Parseq's contact centre
managing director and special guest, Bailie Liz Cameron, from
Glasgow City Council.
Parseq's clients include financial organisations, big brand
utility providers and major players within the charity sector.
Graham Stein said, "Our new location on the Broomielaw means we
have the potential to create a further 250 new roles and together
with local partners Scottish Enterprise and Invest Glasgow we hope
to encourage more people into skilled employment".
