Allison Devine
has become one of the youngest senior partners in a professional
services firm in Scotland, as she takes over at Glasgow based Alexander Sloan, one of
Scotland's longest established firms of Accountants and Business
Advisers.
Allison joined
the firm as a trainee Chartered Accountant from university in 1999
and was appointed partner in 2013, aged 34.
As the first
woman senior partner in Alexander Sloan's 150-year history, her
appointment ushers in a new era. She takes the reins from Andy
McBean, who retired at the end of 2017.
She manages a
varied portfolio of business, with clients in healthcare, retail,
manufacturing and the third sector. Allison is a
key member of the firm's Charities' Technical and Training Group
and also champions the firm's delivery of Virtual Finance Director
services to organisations.
She said: "As
senior partner, I intend to try to carry on where Andy has so
successfully left off. I am very proud to have been
appointed to this role and committed to ensuring Alexander Sloan
continues to be respected for delivering quality services to our
clients, is valued as a forward thinking employer and contributes
to the success of everyone we engage with".
