heart of Glasgow's
new economic strategy. Featuring the UK's most ambitious jobs
creation target, the strategy aims to create 50,000 new jobs and an

As well as supporting these key sectors, the new strategy has 9
other themes covering raising health, skills for all, a fairer
Glasgow, innovation/high value employment, smart infrastructure
investment, housing mix, supporting enterprise, linking education
to employment opportunities and Increasing the city's
population.
Underlining that Glasgow is very much 'Open for

first city innovation district, around the Technology and
Innovation Centre, near George Square.
It will also aim to increase the number of tourists visiting the
city from two million to three million each year, build 25,000 new
homes, have 1000 Glasgow Living Wage Employers, and achieve a 50%
