Six top financial services students have been recognised by the
IFSD Glasgow Student Awards 2017. Each student was presented with a
certificate and £250 to mark their achievements.
The awards programme was established to highlight the wealth of
talented graduates emerging from Glasgow's universities and
colleges, prepared for careers in financial services. All six
students were nominated by their respective institutions as
'outstanding achievers.'
The winners are;
Connor McLaughlin, 21, from Irvine, Ayrshire. Graduated with
honours in Finance at the University of Strathclyde. Secured a
position with HSBC.
Rui Luo, 23, from Shanghai in China. Undertaking a Masters
in International Finance at the University of Glasgow.
Dominic Gibson, 27, from Paisley. Completed a degree in
Accounting at UWS. Looking to work in Fund Accounting.
Siobhan Watt, 27, from Greenock. Achieved a first class honours
degree in Finance, Investment and Risk at Glasgow Caledonian
University. Secured a position as a credit risk analyst.
Zivile Venskuviene, 37, originally from Lithuania, she has
graduated from Glasgow Clyde College in HND Accounting. Now looking
to become professionally qualified through ACCA.
Karolina Piekarniak, 22, originally from Poland. Completed a HNC
in Financial Services at City of Glasgow College. Wants to work as
a financial adviser
