The Spectrum office building in the IFSD has won a prestigious
award for its innovative lighting.
Distinctive for its stainless steel covering, The Spectrum was
recently the subject of a £1.3m refurbishment project. Kevan Shaw Lighting Design
was responsible for the project's illumination, and its outstanding
work won the Workplace Lighting prize at the 2013 Lighting Design
Awards, held recently in London.
The company was praised for helping to create "minimal, linear,
clean and bright spaces" and a strengthened street presence for the
property, at 55 Blythswood Street. The project entailed updating
interiors and installing an array of LED light boxes on the
façade.
Existing tenants at the building include scotcall Ltd, Mortgages
plc, Hogg Robinson Group Ltd and Giles Insurance.
The first and fourth floors of the building are currently
available to let at 9,255 sq ft and 9,400 sq ft respectively. The
quoting rent is £21.00 per sq ft, exclusive of car parking. Jones
Lang LaSalle and Ryden are joint letting agents.
