Glasgow's prime investment opportunities were the subject of the
latest 'Invest in ...' seminar in London organised by GVA, the UK's largest
independent commercial property adviser.
A panel of high level representatives from Glasgow City Council,
Tesco Bank, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Land Securities
promoted the city's investment opportunities to London based
investors at the presentation hosted by GVA.
Keynote speaker, Benny Higgins, Chief Executive at Tesco Bank,
related his organisation's experience as one of the city's biggest
inward investors in recent years.
Key issues addressed at the event included the city's
development pipeline, specific investment opportunities and how
Glasgow is responding with new investment models and vehicles to
make it more attractive for new investment.
Bailie Liz Cameron, Executive Member, Jobs and the Economy,
Glasgow City Council said, "There has never been a better time to
invest in Glasgow. We are especially grateful for the support
offered by GVA in helping us communicate the advantages Glasgow
offers in terms of its affordability, large travel to work area and
a skilled labour force, all of which combine to offer a compelling
proposition to investors and developers."
