Infrastructure, skills and innovation were the key themes at
this year's IFSD Networking event at the Grand Central Hotel on
8th November.
A broad cross section of Glasgow's financial and business
services community attended for some serious networking and a
chance to hear from six expert speakers.
They were (pictured left to right above) Kevin Rush, Regional
Economy Director, Glasgow City Council who updated the audience on
the key City Deal infrastructure projects, David Brown, Founder and
Chief Product Officer, Previse, a London based fintech developer,
which has just opened a new office in Glasgow and Sharon Hamilton,
Director, Financial and Business Services, Scottish Enterprise on
innovation, with a particular focus on Fintech,
Also, Promilla Caughey, from The EY Foundation which helps
disadvantaged young people into jobs, skills, training and
education opportunities, Stephen Flaherty, Location Leader of J.P.
Morgan's European Technology Centre in Glasgow and Ian Hanson,
Sector Manager, Financial and Business Services, Skills Development
Scotland who focused on the evolution of apprenticeships relevant
to the F&BS sector.
