Scottish law firm Thorntons has opened a
new office in Glasgow to service growing demand.
"An expanding client base in the city and surrounding towns
has meant our lawyers have been spending more and more time in
Glasgow, so an office presence here was simply imperative for both
Thorntons and its clients," said Craig Nicol, Managing Partner at
Thorntons.
Leading the team of experts based at Spaces, 1 West Regent Street
are Partners Hugo Allan, specialist in Commercial Property, Pamela
Muir, specialist in Insolvency and Liam McMonagle, Partner in
Intellectual Property, Media and Technology.
Working alongside these three leading Partners will be Gurjit
Pall, an Immigration and Visas Associate, Aimee Gibbons and Richard
Duffy from Commercial Property, and Iain Boyd, a trainee in
Business Law.
The main offering provided from the new Glasgow hub will be
Business Law but clients can also benefit from Thorntons' network
of specialists working right across the firm's other offices in
Edinburgh, Tayside, Angus and Fife.
Craig Nicol added: "It's a really exciting time for the
firm. The introduction of permanent residence in Glasgow underlines
our wider growth ambitions and strengthen our status as the firm of
choice for all legal needs."
