Seven top financial services students, one from each university
and college in Glasgow, have been recognised by Glasgow's IFSD for
achieving top performance on their courses. At an awards ceremony
for the IFSD Glasgow Student Awards 2015, each student was
presented with a certificate and £250 to mark their
achievements.
The awards programme was established by the IFSD Partnership to
highlight the wealth of talented graduates emerging from Glasgow's
universities and colleges, prepared for careers in finance.
All seven students were nominated by their lecturers as
'outstanding achievers.'
They are;
Ge Jin, 23, from China, Masters in Finance
(MFin) in International Finance at
the University of Glasgow; Lynn
Hunter, 27, from Newton Mearns, first class honours degree in
Finance, Investment and Risk from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Tomas Riepsas, 22, originally from Lithuania, now living in
Glasgow, first class honours degree in Finance at the University of Strathclyde;
Simone Black, 22, from Hamilton, Lanarkshire, degree in Accounting
at the University of the West
of Scotland.
Gee Chong Shek, 19, from Glasgow, HND Accountancy at Glasgow Kelvin College;
Diane Mulholland, 30, from Glasgow, HND in Accounting at Glasgow Clyde College;
Nazia Akhtar, 32, from Lennoxtown, HND in Accounting at City of Glasgow
College.
