BNP Paribas expands at Aurora

30 Apr 2009

BNP Paribas Securities Services has expanded its Glasgow presence, taking additional space on the 7th floor at Aurora, 120 Bothwell Street, in the IFSD.

BNP Paribas has taken a sublease on the West suite, comprising 8,039 sq ft, from Davis Langdon until 2017. The European banking and financial group already occupies the second floor at Aurora and this takes their total occupation in the building to 27,338 sq ft.

Steven McLachlan of Atisreal said: "BNP Paribas were keen to capitalise on the prime location that they had already secured when they initially let the second floor in 2007 to accommodate the expansion of their securities services division. Aurora has been designed to meet the requirements of a number of occupiers and therefore a sublease was a viable, ideal option."

Mark Broderick of James Barr who represented Davis Langdon said: "It had always been Davis Langdon's intention to sub let a part of the 7th floor and the fact that we were able to quickly identify and secure BNP Paribas Securities Services is testament to the quality of space at Aurora."
