Glasgow's hotel sector continues to show impressive progress.

Last month, The Radisson Blu Hotel, in the IFSD, completed refurbishment work to its 250 bedrooms and suites.

All guest rooms in the 5 star hotel have been transformed with new decor, furniture and furnishings.

Graeme Gibson, the hotel's General Manager said "We are delighted to unveil our new look guest rooms - the refurbishment work is a true makeover; completely refreshing the rooms; from new wall colourings, to new flooring, beds, chairs and all soft furnishings, this is a real transformation."

The CitizenM hotel on Renfrew Street has chosen Glasgow as the first home for its new SocietyM business club, designed for people on the move.

Situated on the street level of the citizenM hotel, SocietyM will provide unique creative spaces where people can relax, work and hold meetings, presentations and events.

Among the facilities are a club room, large 50-capacity screening room and six smaller creative rooms while there is 84 sq m of chalk and whiteboard walls, all set among stunning Vitra furniture.

citizenM brand director Robin Chadha said, "We've chosen Glasgow as our first space for this and will then take SocietyM to London and New York."
