There was good news this month for two individuals heavily
involved in the regeneration of Glasgow's IFSD.
Glasgow City Council's former director of regeneration services,
Steve Inch, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Glasgow School of Art.
One of the key players in Glasgow's regeneration for over 20
years, Steve Inch has made a vitally important contribution to the
arts and creative industries in the city.
He said, "Prior to retiring from Glasgow City Council, I worked
with GSA on a great many projects and am therefore fully aware of
the role it has played in the ongoing regeneration of the city.
I feel deeply honoured that my contribution has been
recognised through the award of this Honorary Doctorate, and I look
forward to continuing to support GSA in the years to come."
And, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, a key partner in the
development of the IFSD, has promoted Richard Muir to the newly
created post of Deputy Chief Executive.
Richard has been Commercial Director at the Chamber since
December 2009.
As number two to Chief Executive Stuart Patrick he is tasked
with stepping up the strategic relationships he has helped develop
with key players in the city and beyond.
