Building work on 67 Hope Street, the latest addition to
Glasgow's stock of modern open plan Grade A offices, has now been
completed.
Work on the ten storey 65,000 sq ft office development situated
opposite Glasgow Central rail station and known formerly as the
'Copenhagen Building', had been suspended in early 2010, when the
original construction firm entered administration. Last year,
Allied Irish Bank (GB) appointed Clark Contracts to complete the
project, in a £1.2 million contract.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director, Clark Contracts, said,
"Completing this important Grade A office development is good news
for Glasgow's International Financial Services District and without
doubt, a valuable addition to the city's stock of top quality
office accommodation."
An IFSD spokesman said, "The provision of an additional ten
floors of top quality office accommodation in such a central
location is a very welcome addition to what the District offers
prospective inward investors. It's a major boost in helping the
city attract more new jobs."
The completion works were managed on behalf of the Allied Irish
Bank (GB) by GVA Ltd. Letting agents, McManus Property and
Knight Frank are now marketing the building, branded SIXTY7, to
prospective occupiers.
