Christmas came early for children in Glasgow and North
Lanarkshire after staff at Morgan Stanley donated 219
presents to the Action for Children charity.
Santa delivered these gifts to Christmas parties held at Action for Children
services in Glasgow and Motherwell, where they were shared amongst
young carers, children receiving family support and disabled
children who receive respite care.
Grant McFarlane, from Action for Children said: "The children
and young people we work with were over the moon when Santa arrived
at their Christmas party with a bag full of presents. I would like
to thank everyone at Morgan Stanley in Glasgow for making this
possible."
Action for Children supports over 8,000 of Scotland's most
vulnerable, neglected children and their families at 62 projects
across the country. Staff at Morgan Stanley in Glasgow have
supported the charity since 2005 by donating gifts, taking part in
fundraising activities and volunteering in services.
Richard Hughes, Executive Director of Operations at Morgan
Stanley said: "Of all the charitable events in the Morgan Stanley
Glasgow calendar, this is one of the most popular and well
supported - we are delighted to continue our association with
Action for Children in this way."
