Future challenges and opportunities for the financial and
professional services sectors will be explored at a seminar in
Glasgow early in the New Year.
Organised by TheCityUK,
the seminar takes place on Monday 30th January at 1700 -
1900 at Barclays Wealth's offices at the Aurora building, Bothwell
St, in the IFSD.
The audience will include key policymakers, senior business
leaders and skills sector representatives for the financial and
business sector. A panel, including Fergus Ewing MSP,
Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, will discuss how the
financial and professional services sector sustains jobs and growth
in Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.
TheCityUK is the national body established to promote and
explain the financial and professional services sector.
A spokesman for TheCityUK said, Glasgow is a very appropriate
location for this important seminar because over the past 10 years
the International Financial Services District has had great success
in attracting some of the world's leading financial and
professional services companies to Glasgow, bringing significant
regeneration to the Clydeside area."
