BAM Properties has been outlining its proposed vision for one of
Glasgow's landmark buildings, 110 Queen Street, which it recently
acquired.
The company is currently engaged in a consultation process,
prior to lodging a forward planning application with Glasgow City
Council, at the end of the summer.
Situated in the heart of the city centre, opposite the Gallery
of Modern Art, 110 Queen Street occupies a prominent position on
the corner of Queen Street and Ingram Street. It is proposed to
transform the site by demolishing the existing building (pictured
above), creating a mixed used development offering retail and
office space, totalling an impressive 225,000 sq ft.
Michael Smart, Development Director, (Scotland and North of
England), BAM Properties, said: '110 Queen Street is a significant
and very exciting project for our business. It's a great
opportunity to replace an uninspiring building developed back in
the sixties into a modern building which will greatly enhance the
visual impact of this prime area.'
Public enquires surrounding the building can be emailed to the
development architects, Cooper Cromar, at info@coopercromar.com or
