Aurélien Collignon

Associate Director, FORE Partnership

IFSDG:  How long have you worked at FORE Partnership?

Aurélien: I've worked for FORE Partnership for four years.

IFSDG:  How many people work at FORE Partnership?

Aurélien: There are seven of us.

IFSDG:  What is the vision for FORE Partnership in Glasgow?

Aurélien: Delivering sustainable real estate, allowing people to grow and businesses to thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.  We aim at nothing less than changing the face of the world by pushing boundaries on new technologies, design and community-led initiatives.  Our schemes, Cadworks and 50 Bothwell Street, both in Glasgow's IFSD, are socially aware and we also aim to empower local organisations through our work.

IFSDG:  What's a typical day for you?

Aurélien: A fair dose of asset management, a pinch of transactional activity and a lot of creative thinking, usually meeting with those leading the way in their area of expertise.

IFSDG:  Why did FORE Partnership choose to locate in the IFSD in Glasgow?

Aurélien: This city in particular offers very strong real estate market fundamentals and also excellent opportunities to work in close collaboration with local businesses, authorities, property owners and social enterprises, to bring new ways of working, living and playing in the city centre.

IFSDG:  Three good things about working in Glasgow?

Aurélien: "People make Glasgow" could not be more true, both on a professional and personal level. The city offers fantastic economic prospects, opportunities and value creation potential, not to mention 'hidden gems' waiting to be uncovered, polished up and revealed to the rest of the world.

IFSDG:  What is your biggest business achievement to date?

Aurélien: I would say to have acquired two city centre sites, allowing us to employ hundreds of people across those two schemes, which now have the potential to unlock value through comprehensive repositioning of these properties.

IFSDG:  What is the best investment you ever made?

Aurélien: The two that I currently have, which are equally as good.  Both are great city centre IFSD locations; both will change the way Glasgow - and Scotland - approach the office environment.

IFSDG:  Which businessperson or company do you most admire and why?

Aurélien: Derwent and Bruntwood, in the property world, for their innovative approach and constant willingness to change and improve the model.

IFSDG:  What did you want to be when you were a child?

Aurélien: Fighter pilot, aerospace engineer, astronaut.  I guess I missed a turn somewhere along the way...

IFSDG:  I-Phone or Android?

Aurélien: iPhone

IFSDG:  Favourite band?

Aurélien: Metallica

IFSDG:  Favourite sport?

Aurélien: Rowing

IFSDG:  Favourite movie?

Aurélien: French one, you wouldn't know...

IFSDG:  Sunshine or snow?

Aurélien: Sunshine

IFSDG:  and finally, what three words sum you up?

Aurélien: Enthusiastic, keen and ... French maybe.
