IFSDG:  How long have you worked in Aon

Daniel:  4 years

IFSDG:  How many people work at Aon?

Daniel:  Circa 72,000 worldwide, with circa 6,500 in the UK. In Glasgow however, we have around 40 in the Aon National team, with our Claims and Affinity departments also on site.

IFSDG:  What is the vision for Aon in Glasgow?

Daniel:  To continue to grow and maintain our position as a market leading advisor in the Glasgow / UK Market.

IFSDG:  What's a typical day for you?

Daniel:  Weetabix first always. Afterwards a day in work consists of me working closely with the Client Managers and Broking Team to carefully manage renewals whilst dealing with any daily queries that my clients may have.

IFSDG:  Why did Aon choose to locate in the IFSD in Glasgow?

Daniel:  To maintain our presence right in the heart of the financial district.

IFSDG:  Three good things about working in Glasgow?

Daniel:  Locality to the rest of the insurance market, the great selection of pubs and the banter!

IFSDG:  What is your biggest business achievement to date?

Daniel:  Winning the 2014 Broker Apprentice competition!

IFSDG:  What is the best investment you ever made?

Daniel:  Cancelling my university place and opting to go into employment!

IFSDG:  Which businessperson or company do you most admire and why?

Daniel:  Mark Zuckerberg. For someone so young to achieve so much is hugely impressive!

IFSDG:  What did you want to be when you were a child?

Daniel:  An insurance broker obviously.

IFSDG:  What do you do to relax away from the office?

Daniel:  Attempt to play football and regularly go to the gym.
