IFSDG:  What is the vision for Zurich UK General Insurance in Glasgow?

Dominick:  We recognise that Scotland has great economic potential and see Scotland as a core part of our UK footprint, both in terms of customers and our own operations, as we continue to grow our business.   We plan to work with Scottish businesses and wider society to lead on the key technological and social changes of the future and play our part building a successful and balanced Scottish economy, stimulating growth by creating jobs and, at the same time, making a positive difference in the community.

IFSDG:  What's a typical day for you?

Dominick:  That's the beauty of the role, as each day is different and presents a host of opportunities, as well as the occasional challenge!

IFSDG:  Why did Zurich UK General Insurance choose to locate in the IFSD in Glasgow?

Dominick:  The lease expired on our former premises in The Eagle Building, in Bothwell Street, and we wanted to provide our people with a new, modern, flexible workspace.  We decided to move to a state-of-the-art environment on the 7th floor of St Vincent Plaza, which offers a more central, accessible location with fantastic facilities, boasting spectacular views across Glasgow and the Kingston Bridge.

Dominick:  When I was younger I dreamed about being a professional sports person but suffice to say I wasn't good enough in any sport to achieve that admirable goal!
