Jane: Since 1998

IFSDG: How many people work at FPSG?

Jane: 30

IFSDG: What is the vision for FPSG in Glasgow?

Jane: To deliver lasting recruitment partnerships for our clients and candidates.

IFSDG: What's a typical day for you?

Jane: I like to get early into the office to prepare for the day ahead.  In recruitment each day is different in response to the client campaigns we are supporting and can include candidate screening, preparing candidates for interview, market survey for clients, running assessment centres, supporting hiring managers with panel interviews and networking events.

IFSDG: Why did FPSG choose to locate in the IFSD in Glasgow?

Jane: We have offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres to support our growing client base in the IFSD and wider financial sector.

IFSDG:  Three good things about working in Glasgow?

Jane: Our fabulous people, our amazing culture and our stunning architecture.

IFSDG: What is your biggest business achievement to date?

Jane: It's hard to single out just one achievement, however, I am most proud of the partner relationships I have developed and maintained in the 20+ years I have been working in recruitment. Some of my early candidates are now clients.

IFSDG: What is the best investment you ever made?

Jane: A really good set of kitchen knives.

IFSDG: Which businessperson or company do you most admire and why?

Jane: Dame Stephanie Shirley - she started an IT business back in the 60's to encourage and enable woman with dependents to work, she has set up a number of projects focusing on supporting people with Autism and Asperger's and has given a huge amount of her personal wealth to charities and projects, she is a true inspiration.

IFSDG: What did you want to be when you were a child?

Jane: I wanted to be able to fly and live in the Faraway Tree with Silky and Moon-face (I think only people of a certain age will get this!)

IFSDG: What do you do to relax away from the office?

Jane: I love to cook and spending time in the kitchen listening to Radio 2 is my total relax

Jane: I-Phone

Jane: The Bee Gees

IFSDG: Favourite sport?

Jane: Rugby or Golf

IFSDG: Favourite movie?

Jane: Elf

Jane: Positive, Encouraging and Committed.
