Thomson Wealth Management in
Glasgow?
Paul: The vision of Thomson Wealth
Management is to provide quality independent financial planning
advice together with high levels of service to existing and new
clients.
IFSDG: What's a typical day for you?
Paul: Every day is different but most
generally start with a cycle to the office. That is followed by
lots of client meetings to review their financial affairs or new
planning opportunities. I also spend time reviewing investment
strategies, meeting with our favoured fund managers, updating my
knowledge of financial legislation and developing the business.
IFSDG: Why did Thomson Wealth
Management choose to locate in the IFSD in
Glasgow?
Paul: Glasgow has a vibrant business
community therefore it made sense to make it our base. In
addition, we work closely with a number other professions, such as
lawyers and accountants, based in the area.
IFSDG: Three good things about working
in Glasgow?
Paul: The business community, the people
and the excellent dining.
IFSDG: What is your biggest business achievement
to date?
Paul: Being one of the first Chartered
Financial Planners in Scotland which enhanced my professional
standing with clients and other industry partners.
IFSDG: What is the best investment you ever
made?
Paul: I recommend lots of good
investments to clients. There are too many to mention!
IFSDG: Which businessperson or company do you most
admire and why?
Paul: Warren Buffet of Berkshire
Hathaway. As someone who provides investment advice I'm continually
amazed at the returns generated by Mr Buffet over such a long
time.
IFSDG: What did you want to be when you were a
child?
Paul: A Royal Marine

office?
Paul: Road Cycling and holidays.
