IFSDG: How long have you worked at
NewGalexy?
Sarvarth: I have been working with
NewGalexy since 2006.
IFSDG: How many people work at
NewGalexy?
Sarvarth: Our new Glasgow centre has 10
staff (within the first 4 weeks of its operations!) and we project
that our Glasgow base will grow to 50 staff within the first 18
months. We've of course got more staff in India.
IFSDG: What is your vision for NewGalexy in
Glasgow?
Sarvarth: We want to be the market leader
in onshore legal process outsourcing (LPO) services in Europe with
sector focuses on banking and finance; engineering and
construction; oil and gas; and technology, media and
telecommunication.
IFSDG: What's a typical day for you?
Sarvarth: Starts at 5.30 AM with calls to
India and can end with conference calls to clients in California
very late into the night. Long days (and nights)!
IFSDG: How many emails do you receive on an
average day?
Sarvarth: Haven't ever counted - but
lots…
IFSDG: Why did NewGalexy choose to locate in the
IFSD in Glasgow?
Sarvarth: The talent pool of lawyers
available in Glasgow was really good, Glasgow has been a successful
base for BPOs and KPOs and has great transportation links.
IFSDG: Three good things about working in
Glasgow?
Sarvarth: Friendly, vibrant and "the
great weather"
IFSDG: What is your biggest business achievement
to date?
Sarvarth: I am hoping it would be the new
Glasgow centre which we have just set up!
IFSDG: What is the best investment you ever
made?
Sarvarth: Again, I hope the investment
into the Glasgow centre might bear the fruits but other than that
it would be investing in stocks in a booming South East Asian stock
market in 2006 and 2007 before the stock market crashed!
IFSDG: Which business person or company do you
most admire and why?
Sarvarth: Steve Jobs. I think he was the
Thomas Edison of this generation and not only was he a great
innovator but perhaps the best marketer of the century!
IFSDG: What did you want to be when you were a
child?
Sarvarth: Lead Guitarist in a Rock
Band!
IFSDG: What do you do to relax away from the
office?
Sarvarth: Golf, movies and listening to
music
