The City Plan sets out the physical regeneration priorities for

The Joint Economic Strategy, prepared on behalf of the Glasgow
Local Economic Forum, sets out the policies to contribute to the
continued growth of the Glasgow economy and the measures to ensure
that the benefits of growth are available to all sections of the
local community.
Metropolitan Glasgow - A Vision For The Future Of The City
Region
Metropolitan Glasgow sets out a long term strategy for the
regeneration of the City-Region, identifying 12 strategic projects
which will impact significantly on the economic and social
prospects of the city region over the next 10 years and sets out a
series of ambitious targets, against which progress will be
assessed.
The total value of private sector development activity in
Glasgow in 2009-10 was around £3.84 billion. The waterfront
area and the city centre continue to be the focus for a significant
element of Glasgow's development activity. Collectively these
areas accounted for around 73% of the overall development
activity.
Glasgow has a massive programme of exciting new developments,

2014 Commonwealth
Games
Over £500m will be invested in the city's venues and
infrastructure as a direct result of the Games - leaving a legacy
of new and renovated sporting facilities in and around Glasgow and
a catalyst for improved housing, transport and the environment
The Digital Media Quarter @ Pacific
Quay
Its landmark location overlooking the River Clyde provides a
physical focus for new media activities in Glasgow. Key anchor
tenants include BBC Scotland, which features the most advanced
broadcasting centre in Europe and Scottish Television.
Clyde Gateway URC
Working across an area of more than 2,000 acres, just 2km east
of Glasgow city centre, on the banks of the River Clyde, where more
than £140m of public investment will pave the way for a further
£1.5bn in private development over the next two decades.
Glasgow Harbour
A 52 hectare (130 acre) integrated
development, with an investment value of over £1.2 billion. Taking
about 10 years to complete, the project will be a prestigious
modern urban community where people can work, live, shop and
relax.
Queens Dock
project
This £523m project plans to transform
the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre's 64-acre site
into a complete exhibition, conference and entertainments
complex. The first major development is the 12,000 seat, £125
million Scottish National Arena.
City Science Park
This 2.02 hectare site, adjacent to Strathclyde University,
will create an urban business quarter for science and
technology, featuring 40,000 sq m of commercial floor space.
