Glasgow plays host to some highly innovative events in June. The
new 'Think Scotland, Think Conference' initiative is
keen to encourage business influencers in Glasgow's IFSD to take a
proactive role in bringing prestigious and lucrative business
conferences to Scotland.
The Glasgow launch is on Wednesday June 3rd at
the Glasgow Science Centre from 1730-1930.
The ambition is to arm business leaders with the right marketing
tools, knowledge and support to become potential advocates of
Scotland's business tourism offering. The session will reinforce
the positive benefit for individuals, their organisations, their
sector and the local economy.
Another event keen to attract delegates from the corporate
sector is TEDxGlasgow
2015, at the Tramway Theatre on Friday 12th June
from 1200-1930. This year's conference theme is 'Why Not
Here?' described by organisers as 'a purposefully
provocative question that seeks to inspire a new vision, provoke a
shift in mindset that makes you think - why not in your home, in
your street, in your workplaces? Why not Glasgow? Why not
here?'
Around 600 delegates will be joined by a world-class line
up of speakers, including Mark Beaumont, world record cyclist and
Judy Murray, tennis coach.
