Morgan Stanley has
officially opened its new offices at 122 Waterloo Street, Glasgow,
bringing together all of its employees in Scotland under one
roof.
The company first opened an office in
Glasgow in 2000 with just six employees and has since grown to over
1,400 people, working across a number of divisions including
Technology & Data, Finance, Operations and Fund
Services.
Clare Woodman, Head of EMEA for
Morgan Stanley (pictured at the official opening), said, "Glasgow
is an important location with employees supporting the firm's
operations around the world; it plays an integral part in helping
Morgan Stanley to deliver the best in class service to its clients.
We look forward to this next chapter in Morgan Stanley's story in
Glasgow."
Until now, Morgan Stanley employees
have been spread across 2 buildings - Cerium and Sentinel; the new
155,000 sq ft office was purpose built to the firm's
specifications. It not only demonstrates an ongoing commitment to
Glasgow but is a key milestone in Morgan Stanley's Global Workplace
Evolution Strategy, with the new workplace offering a greater
choice of work settings and technologies, to give employees more
opportunities to connect, create and innovate.
