The £2.6 million refurbishment of 180 West George
Street has been unveiled by Picton Property Income.
Designed by Michael Laird Architects, the refurbishment features
a triple height atrium and stunning reception area with unique
light sculptures. WiredScore, the international digital
connectivity rating scheme, awarded the building a Wired Certified
Silver rating, making it the first in Scotland to be Wired
Certified.
The 52,000 sq ft office building is home to Standard Life and
Michael Page, both recently signing new leases. The latest occupier
is global design consultancy, Arcadis.
Agents Ryden and Phil Reid Associates are targeting rents of
around £28 sq ft for the 7,844 square foot third floor and the
8,324 square foot fourth floor.
The offices benefit from excellent transport connections, as
well as nearby leisure and retail amenities. This is Picton's
second investment in Glasgow, the first being Queen's House in St
Vincent Place.
Fraser D'Arcy, Picton's Investment Director said, "The level of
investment demonstrates the growing confidence in Glasgow's office
and property market. With over 17,000 companies calling Glasgow
home, 180 West George Street provides much needed contemporary,
flexible open-plan office space, reflective of the city's ongoing
regeneration and economic development."
