Glasgow hotels featured prominently in the recently announced
Scottish Hotel Awards.
Leading the way was Glasgow's Grand Central Hotel, winning seven
prestigious accolades including the highly coveted Scottish Hotel
Manager of the Year award for General Manager Laurie Nicol.
Her 250 strong staff were named Hotel Team of the Year and the
hotel also won The Business Performance Award, while its Champagne
Central bar was named Hotel Bar of the Year.
Hotel Indigo in Waterloo St won a Gold Medal for Design and was
voted Glasgow Hotel of the Year.
Citizen M on Renfrew St won an Innovation Award and Premium
Budget Hotel of the Year, while easyHotel in Hill St was voted the
Rising Star Budget Hotel.
Jury's Inn in Jamaica St won the Large Hotel category for Green
Hotel of the Year and the Crowne Plaza at the SECC was Large Event
Venue of the Year.
Business Hotel of the Year was the Hilton Garden Inn at
Finneston Quay and Menzies Hotel in Washington St was voted
Business and Leisure Hotel of the Year.
Now in its ninth year, the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards aim
to recognise exceptional achievement in the Scottish hotel
industry.
