Mr Brown said: "As a Glaswegian, I am hugely excited at the
challenge that lies ahead. I will endeavour to ensure the pace of
work that has helped to shape Glasgow into the vibrant, thriving
and exciting city it is today will continue."
Bailie Liz Cameron, Executive Member for Development and
Regeneration Services, said: "I know that Richard's vast experience
will ensure continued great leadership of a department which is at
the heart of ensuring Glasgow remains open for business."
